We offer both one off and on-going workshops suitable for youth, mental health and disabilities. One off workshops will run for 2 hours and are a condensed version of the full course. On-going workshops will run one day per week over an 8 week period for a duration of 2 hours per class.

The workshops will be facilitated by two instructors. Myself (Cameron Flood) aka ALTA, a Hip Hop artist (15 years experience) and Support Worker (10 years experience). Kane Hermenz, a Hip Hop artist and sound engineer (10 years experience).

Courses will cover the following components.

1.Introduction to the program. Sharing my experience of how Hip Hop has had a positive impact in my life. Speaking with customers to assess where they are currently at in terms of their understanding of rap, what they would like to achieve and setting an intention to work towards during the workshop. Teaching a brief history of Hip Hop.

2. Mentality. Help clients to get comfortable and move through anxiety of getting started. Breathwork, identifying fears and providing reassurance, teaching self-affirmations.

3. Rhyming. Working with customers to understand the concept of rhyming. Playing games to practice rhyming skills. Rhymezone introduction.

4. Flow. Showing examples of different flows. Working with clients to hit the flow in time with the beat.

5. Cadence. How they sound. Helping them to find their authentic voice and work towards their own individuality.

6. Songwriting. Helping them to write their first song or verse.

7. Conclusion. Finalising song. Collaborating together on a project where everybody is involved.
